Andjela Drincic, MD, FACP

Dr. Drincic is a Professor of Medicine in the Division of Diabetes, Endocrinology & Metabolism, Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska.

Dr. Drincic graduated from the University of Belgrade (Serbia) School of Medicine in 1990 and finished her Endocrine Fellowship in the Division of Endocrinology at Northwestern University, Chicago, IL in 1999. 

She is the Medical Director for the Nebraska Medicine Diabetes Center and directs the inpatient glycemic management program which is nationally recognized for the quality of care and glucometrics achieved. She is has participated in addressing major quality related issues in inpatient diabetes care ranging from point of care testing to articulating policies and guidelines for inpatient pump and sensor use. Currently she is a member of CDC advisory group working on inpatient hypoglycemia reporting. In addition, she is a member of the Endocrine Society Inpatient Hyperglycemia Guideline Development Panel.  She has received several awards on both the national and local level and is a member of many professional organizations. She is well published in peer-reviewed journals on a variety of topics including inpatient diabetes care during enteral and parenteral nutrition.
