Andrew Demidowich, MD

Dr. Demidowich completed his internal medicine residency at The Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City and his endocrinology fellowship at the National Institutes of Health.  After staying on as an attending at the NIH for another three years, he moved to Johns Hopkins in 2018 to become the Chief of Inpatient Endocrinology at one of the health system hospitals.  Dr. Demidowich's research interests include improving the delivery of diabetes care in the inpatient setting, as well as investigating the interplay of inflammation and insulin resistance.  He is actively engaged in several clinical trials, and he has published over 50 peer-reviewed manuscripts. He enjoys spending his free time with his wife and two children, and playing ice hockey.
