Rima Bouajram, PharmD, BCCCP

Dr. Bouajram is a Critical Care Clinical Pharmacist at the UC San Francisco Medical Center and Health Sciences Assistant Clinical Professor at the UCSF School of Pharmacy. She completed her Pharm.D. training at the University of Texas at Austin. Subsequently, she completed Acute Care Post-Graduate residency at UC San Diego Health System and Critical Care Post-Graduate residency at UC Davis Medical Center. She currently serves as Chair of the UCSF Hospital-wide Sleep Committee and UCSF ICU Liberation Sleep Subcommittee. Most of her research involves pain and sedation management, optimizing glycemic control in critical illness, with a focus on quality improvement and improving medication-related patient outcomes. Dr. Bouajram spearheaded a pharmacist-comanaged glycemic control program at the UCSF Medical Center Medical Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in 2020, expanding to all ICUs at UCSF Medical Center in 2021.
