Dr. Yiduo Wu is the Branch Chief of the Diabetes Diagnostics Devices Branch in the Office of Health Technology 7 at FDA’s Center for Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH). Dr. Wu is an analytical chemist by training and worked in the medical device and pharmaceutical industry before joining FDA in 2012. CDRH’s Diabetes Branch is responsible for the regulation of diabetes technologies including blood glucose meters, continuous glucose monitors, insulin pumps, automated insulin dosing systems, hemoglobin A1c assays and insulin dose calculators. Dr. Wu’s scientific expertise includes continuous glucose monitors (CGMs), Automated Insulin Dosing systems and advanced diabetes technologies. Dr. Wu is the recipient of numerous awards including the FDA Award of Merit in 2016 and the Samuel J. Heyman Service to America medal in 2017.
