Marc B. Taub, Ph.D., is Divisional Vice President of Technical Operations for Abbott's diabetes business. Based in Alameda, California, he leads the global research and development, medical affairs, and clinical affairs organizations.

Since joining Abbott in 2004, Dr. Taub has been dedicated to developing innovative products that help people with diabetes live healthier and more active lives.

He was one of the driving forces behind the development of the FreeStyle Libre system, leading a diverse team of engineers and scientists and having direct responsibility for all aspects of product design. The FreeStyle Libre system has since transformed glucose monitoring for more than four million people living with diabetes across the globe.

Dr. Taub is a member of the Abbott Scientific Governing Board and in 2007 was inducted into Abbott’s Volwiler Society, a group of the most distinguished scientists in the company. He also represents Abbott as a Board Member of the Health Division of the Consumer Technology Association.

Dr. Taub holds a bachelor's degree from Brown University and master's and doctorate degrees from Stanford University.
