University of Padova, Padova, Italy
Martina Vettoretti is Assistant Professor at the Department of Information Engineering, University of Padova, Padova, Italy. In 2017, she got the PhD degree in Information Engineering, curriculum Bioengineering, from the same university.
Her research interests include artificial intelligence, machine learning, signal processing, modeling and simulation techniques in various applications regarding the prevention and treatment of diabetes and other chronic diseases. In particular, she developed simulation models and algorithms to enhance continuous glucose monitoring sensors and their use in type 1 diabetes therapy. She also developed AI models to predict the incidence of type 2 diabetes.
Recently, she contributed to two H2020 projects, PULSE (Participatory Urban Living for Sustainable Environments) and BRAINTEASER (Bringing Artificial Intelligence Home for a Better Care of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis and Multiple Sclerosis), and the Hypo-RESOLVE (Hypoglycaemia – Redefining Solutions for Better Lives) IMI project.
She authored 32 peer-reviewed articles, more than 70 contributions to conferences and 3 patent applications (Scopus H-index: 12).
