Rolf Hinzmann, MD, PhD, studied Medicine and Biochemistry in Hanover, Germany, and specialised in Clinical Pathology. He spent more than 20 years in the in vitro diagnostic and medical device industry in international roles. He is currently Head of Medical Science, Global Medical & Scientific Affairs at Roche Diabetes Care.

Further, he represents the in-vitro diagnostic industry in the Executive Board of the International Federation for Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (IFCC).

Beyond clinical diabetes, Rolf has a strong interest in measuring analytical performance of blood glucose meters and CGM, in biomarkers, in behavioral change technologies and in didactics of medicine.
