Prof. Andreas Pfützner, MD, PhD is managing director of Pfützner Science & Health Institute GmbH, Diabetes Center & Practice in Mainz, Germany, focusing on diabetes treatment and diagnostics, diabetes technology and medical device development. He is lecturing professor for Applied Clinical Research at the Technical University in Bingen, Germany and Professor of Internal Medicine and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Digitalized Technologies in Medicine and Dentistry in Wiltz, Luxembourg.

He holds positions in the boards of directors and scientific advisory boards of several diabetes-focused companies and non-profit institutions. Prof. Pfützner has performed more than 400 clinical studies as Principal Investigator or Investigator, including over 150 clinical research projects with diabetes-related technologies. He has published more than 800 full papers, abstracts and book articles covering multiple scientific areas including diabetes,
endocrinology, drug development, and device development and his research has won numerous awards.
