Michael Taborn, BSEE

Michael Taborn is presently the Lead Platform Architect for the Healthcare Segment within the Intel Internet of Things Group (IOTG). This organization is responsible for supporting Intel devices and technologies for long life in the global medical device marketplace. Michael’s current responsibilities include advising medical device customers on the security, architecture and performance capabilities of Intel technologies, investigating and understanding usage models within the medical market, and from this, contributing to the architecture and design of future Intel products that can serve the medical market. Michael also represents ISG in Intel’s Health Information Technology Program Office. 

Previously within Intel, Michael was Component Engineer on the Atom processor. Prior to joining Intel, Michael spent several years as an IC design and verification engineer with IBM, Motorola, and AMD. Michael has a BSEE from The University of Texas at Austin. He holds eight (8) Patents, has written five (5) Conference Publications and six (6) Technical Disclosures, and is a member of the IEEE.
