Nestoras Mathioudakis

Dr. Nestoras Mathioudakis is an Assistant Professor of Medicine and Clinical Director of the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He completed his medical school, residency, and fellowship training at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, and received a Master of Health Science degree in clinical investigation from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. His research interests focus of management of high-risk patients with diabetes, specifically hospitalized patients and patients with diabetic foot ulcers. He also has an interest in the use of digital health technology for diabetes prevention and management, and has been involved in clinical trials in this area. Dr. Mathioudakis is currently the recipient of an NIH K23 award to develop and evaluate a real-time informatics alert for prevention of insulin-associated hypoglycemia in hospitalized patients.
