After five plus years as Glooko’s first CEO, Rick recently decided to hire a new Glooko CEO and transition into a board advisor and Executive Vice President role. With 30 years in the technology industry, concentrating on healthcare technology for the last 25 years, Rick has held a variety of executive leadership positions with large and small organizations in general and functional areas. Prior to Glooko, he was a Vice President in the healthcare business unit at Intuit, where he launched their provider services and drove the effort that resulted in Intuit acquiring Medfusion. Rick was also Executive Vice President and Board member at AdvancedMD, one of the industry’s first SaaS based EHR companies. As an early employee and Vice President at Healtheon/WebMD, Rick built the product management, account management and other functions as well as help set product strategy and drive major acquisitions including Envoy, Medical Manger, Kinetra and MedE America, as the company grew from a startup to over $1B in revenue. Rick received a B.S. in mechanical engineering and an M.S. in engineering management from Stanford University.
