Eun-Jung Rhee, MD, PhD

Eun-Jung Rhee graduated from Ewha Womens’ University Medical School, Seoul, Korea in 1997. She finished her residency training in Kangbuk Samsung Hospital, Sungkyunkwan University School of Medicine, Seoul, Korea in 2003. She finished fellowship in Endocrinology and Metabolism in the same hospital, and has worked as a faculty member of Department of Endocrinology and Metabolism of Kangbuk Samsung Hospital since then. She is a full professor in department of Endocrinology and Metabolism, Sungkyunkwan University School of Medicine since 2017. She got her degree of philosophy in The Catholic University of Korea in 2009. She studied as a visiting professor in cardiovascular division of Brigham and Women’s hospital, Harvard University, Boston, Massachusetts, USA from 2010-2011. She is currently working as a deputy editor of Endocrinology and Metabolism, the official journal of Korean Endocrine Society, an SCIE journal. She is also working as the vice secretory-general of Korean Diabetes Association (KDA) and secretary of committee of research of KDA. She is also working as the secretary of the committee of clinical practice guidelines of Korean Society of Lipidology and Atherosclerosis. She has published more than 200 articles and reviews in international journals and her research interest is vascular complications of diabetes, vascular calcification, diabetes prevention, and metabolic health.
