Dr. James Bernasko is Associate Clinical Professor of Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the Renaissance Stony Brook University School of Medicine. He is board-certified in Maternal-Fetal Medicine, general Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (formerly CDE). He completed his residency training at Columbia University-Harlem Hospital Center and his clinical fellowship training in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at New York Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He has published and lectured extensively in the area of diabetes in pregnancy and authored A practical guide to Insulin Pump therapy for Pregnancy. He is an active obstetrician who has established various diabetes in pregnancy programs within the New York area and is currently the Director of the Stony Brook Medicine Center for Diabetes in Pregnancy.
